An investigation by First State Liberty revealed a shady night-time operative stealing signs off the side of the highway that read "Fix the Economy! Vote Republican" in Middletown, Del.
FSL camped out in front of a set of freshly-planted signs until a man pulled his car over to the side of the road at 4:01 a.m. and began lifting them from the ground.
"We got you taking those signs," the FSL representatives said. "You're stealing those signs, put 'em back. That is theft."
"No it's not," the man stealing the signs said. "There is no name on these signs."
"Yes there are, right here," the FSL cameraman said. "Property of the Republican Party."
FSL captured video of the man's license plate, face, and the stolen signs in his car before he drove off.
UPDATE: On Wednesday afternoon, the Middletown Police Department confirmed that it has issued a warrant for the arrest of Dana Armon Long for property theft. Long is the husband of Democratic State Senator Bethany Hall-Long.
