Not Even Democrats Like MSNBC, Poll Finds

2 percent of Dems use network as primary news source

Only 2 percent of Democrats use MSNBC as their primary news source, and only 1 percent of U.S. adults overall watch the liberal network for breaking updates on current events, a Gallup poll finds.

The poll showed Democrats turn to television first for news at a 54 percent rate, well above the Internet (18 percent), print media (12 percent) and radio (4 percent), yet MSNBC was used by them at the same rate as National Public Radio (2 percent).

Overall, MSNBC was tied with such outlets as Univision, PBS and BBC as the primary source of news for 1 percent of all U.S. adults.
