Trump Puts Down 'Nasty' Anti-Israel Questioner, Says We'll Protect Israel 100 Percent

June 30, 2016

Donald Trump responded to an anti-Israel questioner at his New Hampshire rally Thursday by saying he had Israel's back "100 percent" and encouraging the rest of his crowd to cheer the Jewish state.

An elderly man took the microphone during the question-and-answer section of the event and told Trump he had two points to make.

"Number one, I'm opposed to the murder of unborn babies being legal," he said. "Number two, I'm opposed to our wasting our military in the Middle East on behalf of Zionist Israel. Thank you."

The crowd murmured uncomfortably.

"Well, let me just tell you Israel is a very, very important ally of the United States, and we are going to protect them 100 percent. 100 percent," Trump said, to cheers from the rest of the audience. "They've been our most reliable—it's our true friend over there, and we're going to protect Israel 100 percent. As to number one, we're with you."

Trump said he wanted to get one more questions from the audience after his answer.

"We've got to ask one more, because that was a tough question on Israel," he said. "That was nasty. Whoa! Are we all for Israel, right?"

The rest of the crowd again roared their approval.
