National Journal’s Ron Fournier blasted President Obama for his failure to act effectively in urgent situations, like the growing threat that is ISIL in Iraq, and dubbed him "underestimator in chief" on Fox News Sunday.
Fournier described ISIL as "a very ruthless, strategic, well funded group of terrorists." He warned that ISIL’s "only mission" is "to take us out…They are coming after us. We are going to get hit if we don’t figure out how to stop them."
"This is a president who underestimated ISIL- he called them JV, he underestimated what was going to happen after Libya…, he underestimated Putin, he underestimated several other areas…He’s been the underestimator in chief," he said.
He cautioned, "We can’t afford for the president to underestimate this threat…I wish I was more confident that the president really understood the threat to our homeland…"
