Erdogan Calls Protesters ‘Israeli Semen’

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a known anti-Semite, referred to a group of protesters as "Israeli semen" on Thursday.

Erdogan, who has been caught in public and behind-closed-doors smearing Jewish people and the state of Israel, made the comments while visiting the scene of a deadly mine collapse.

Israel Hayom reports:

Erdogan's visit to the scene of Tuesday's catastrophic mine collapse, which so far has claimed 283 lives, was met with antagonism from protesters angry with the government's handling of the disaster, and Erdogan's earlier statements where he called mining accidents "ordinary things" that "happen all the time."

A large group of protesters descended on Erdogan and his security detail, shouting "murderer!" and "thief!"—in reference to alleged corruption—forcing the Turkish prime minister to take refuge at a nearby supermarket. Video footage posted on the internet show Erdogan slapping one protester and yelling "Why are you running away? You Israeli semen," a curse word in Turkish.
