Mike Rowe Campaigns with Romney in Ohio

'I personally and honestly believe that we have unintentionally disconnected ourselves in a really fundamental way from the most important part of our workforce'

Discovery Channel host Mike Rowe campaigned with Mitt Romney in Ohio Wednesday, and spoke of  a "fundamental" disconnect in America between society at large and the people who keep the country running.

"I personally and honestly believe that we have unintentionally disconnected ourselves in a really fundamental way from the most important part of our workforce," Rowe said.

"I'm talking about the people who do the kinds of jobs that make civilized life for the rest of us. The people who keep the lights on, the people who allow the toilets to work, the people who pick up roadkill, the people who paint the bridges, the people who farm, the people who mine--those are the heroes of 'Dirty Jobs.'"
