Hillary Clinton has repeatedly dodged the question of whether she supports construction of the Keystone Pipeline, and Sen. Michael Bennet (D., Colo.) called her out on it during a conference Wednesday in Colorado.
"A follow-up on Keystone," Politico reporter Manu Raju said. "You’re obviously a supporter, a rare supporter in your party. The woman you support for president, Hillary Clinton, has taken a position on Keystone, saying that we still need to see how this process plays out. Does that position concern you?"
"I think she should take a position," Bennet said. "She should take a position for it, or she should take a position against it."
A recent example of Clinton's reticence to take a firm stance on the politically contentious issue happened last month in New Hampshire, when a voter asked her to answer "yes or no" whether she supported its construction.
"This is President Obama’s decision, and I am not going to second-guess him because I was in a position to set this in motion, and I do not think that would be the right thing to do," she said. "So I want to wait and see what he and Secretary Kerry decide. If it's undecided when I become president, I will answer your question."
