The leader of the terror group Hezbollah has vowed to unleash a barrage of missile attacks on Israel, potentially causing "tens of thousands of fatalities" in the Jewish state’s northern region, according to a recently translated interview.

Hassan Nasrallah, the terror group’s longtime leader, briefly emerged from hiding late last week to discuss Hezbollah’s ability to "turn the lives of millions of Zionist Israelis in all of occupied Palestine into a living hell," according an interview with Al-Manar TV that was translated Wednesday by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

"We are capable of changing the face of Israel," Nasrallah said. "I say to the Israelis: There are a number of targets" in Israel that can be "reached by several precise missiles."

"We possess such missiles," Narallah added, confirming suspicion’s that Hezbollah has been stockpiling more sophisticated weaponry. "Striking these targets—which I will not name—with only a few missiles will turn the lives of hundreds of thousands of Zionists into a living hell. We may be talking about tens of thousands of fatalities."

Hezbollah, which is funded and endorsed by the Iranian regime, has remained largely dormant in recent months. But as rumors of an impending Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear reactors grow stronger, Hezbollah could be readying itself to carry out a retaliatory attack on the Jewish state.

"We have the coordinates of these targets," Nasrallah said. "Our missiles are set in secret locations and are aimed at these targets."

Though attention has turned to Israel’s southern borders in recent months as tensions flare along the border with Egypt, Nasrallah’s threats place a renewed focus on the country’s densely populated northern front, which is susceptible to rocket attacks.
