Rep. Jeff Duncan (R., S.C.) said Wednesday during Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s testimony that Americans were frustrated about the handling of Benghazi by Clinton and the State Department, and that she was not “clear-eyed,” as she had said in earlier testimony, about the threat levels to the U.S. consulate there.
He cited, among others, the unreliability of the Libyan government for additional security and al-Qaeda’s reportedly free roaming around Benghazi.
“Why did four Americans die?” Duncan asked. “Madam Secretary, you let the consulate become a death trap. And that’s national security malpractice.”
