Zombie Apocalypse? The Pentagon Has a Plan

MSNBC's Ronan Farrow dedicated a full segment of his show to what he perceives to be a seriously growing threat to Americans: zombies.

Farrow was joined by Jim Miklaszewski, chief Pentagon correspondent for NBC news, to discuss the Defense Department’s contingency plan for a zombie attack, as reported by Foreign Policy.

"Shambling, mindless, flesh-eating monsters threatening to devour each other alive," Farrow warned viewers.

Miklaszewski explained that "CONOP 8888"- the zombie survival plan, is essentially a how-to guide for military planners seeking to cordon off the zombies should they attack. The plan is intended to "eradicate the zombie threat and protect humankind," he said. Different types of zombies, like veggie zombies and space zombies, are included in the contingency plan.

Miklaszewski announced "[It’s] an actual training plan and they use the zombie scenario to spice it up a little bit."

Farrow, grinning ear to ear, responded, "That’s classic."
