Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin condemned drone attacks in a recent interview, claiming that the method of killing enemies is not personal enough.
Martin said that those fighting in battle should hear the "screams" and "whimpers" of their dying victim, according to an interview he gave to Rolling Stone.
Martin added that he would pick a "sharp piece of steel" and "hacking someone’s head" over drones, the Daily Mail reported.
"We're setting up mechanisms where we can kill human beings with drones and missiles where you're sitting at a console and pressing the button," Martin told Rolling Stone.
"We never have to hear their whimpering, or hear them begging for their mother, or dying in horrible realities around us," Martin added. "I don't know if that's necessarily such a good thing."
