New Ad Slams Nunn for Blindly Following President Obama

October 24, 2014

A new ad from Ending Spending Action Fund criticizes Democratic candidate Michelle Nunn for statements she made during the VA scandal.

In May, Nunn said she would "defer to the president’s judgment," when it came to holding executives at the Department of Veterans Affairs accountable for deaths within the VA system.

The comments raised eyebrows and came as lawmakers on the left and right called for Shinseki’s resignation.

Nunn’s campaign has billed her as an anti-Washington candidate who will act independently once in office. The ad uses Nunn’s comments to push back on that narrative proclaiming, "Michelle Nunn would be Obama’s Senator--not Georgia’s."

This is the second ad released by the conservative group this week.
