President Donald Trump blasted House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) on Twitter Monday, calling him an illegal leaker of information who "must be stopped."
Schiff has been one of the leading Democratic voices on the Russia investigation and allegations that Trump obstructed justice. One of television news' most attainable interviews, Schiff has also been a strong critic of Republicans on his committee for releasing a memo alleging Justice Department abuses in its surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
"Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper! Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!" Trump wrote.

It's a new nickname from the president. In July, he referred to him as "sleazy Adam Schiff."
