If it's a day in the Trump administration, you can count on someone on the news discussing the Russian investigation "cloud" that looms over the president and the White House.

Every month since Trump's inauguration, the "cloud" of allegations over Russian interference, collusion, and obstruction of justice have lingered over Trump, the media has reported, sometimes with a smile.

The appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller in May to lead the probe has only darkened that cloud, and to some's delight and others' chagrin, the cloud could be here indefinitely.
