Republican Cory Gardner Raised Impressive $2.7 Million in Second Quarter

Rep. Cory Gardner (R., Colo.), who is in a tight race challenging Democratic incumbent Mark Udall for his Senate seat, raised $2.71 million in the second quarter.

According to Politico Pro:

Colorado GOP Rep. Cory Gardner raised $2.71 million in the second quarter for the state’s competitive Senate race and has $3.4 million cash on hand.

The impressive haul, shared first with POLITICO, is another indicator of Gardner’s credibility in the race against Democratic Sen. Mark Udall, who has not yet released his Q2 figures.

Gardner raised $1.52 million in the pre-primary period (April 1 to June 4) and added a robust $1.19 million during the remainder of the period (June 5-June 30).

"It's clear that Coloradans are energized and ready for a new generation of leadership in the Senate," Gardner says in a forthcoming statement. "I am incredibly grateful for my supporters' generosity and look forward to continuing our campaign to give Colorado an effective voice in the Capitol."

Udall raised $2.1 million in the first quarter and had $5.9 million cash on hand at the end of March.
