Barack Obama's former driver attacked Republican Sen. Rand Paul on Twitter Wednesday, mocking him for an attack by a neighbor that left the Kentucky Republican with six broken ribs.
Paul tweeted out a letter he received from the FBI that Paul said confirmed that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page—two agents who privately trashed Donald Trump—still had Top Secret security clearances.

Tommy Vietor, a host on the "Pod Save America" podcast and a former Obama national security spokesman, responded with his own tweet ridiculing Paul for being assaulted.
"Your [sic] are a shameless hack and an idiot. Stop attacking public servants. Start doing a better job not getting beat up by your neighbor," Vietor said.
Vietor eventually deleted the tweet after criticism and apologized to Paul, while still lambasting him as "hackish and pathetic."
I shouldn't have made fun of you getting assaulted by your neighbor. It was classless and I apologize. But I do think it's hackish and pathetic that you continue to attack these officials for purely partisan reasons. Stop doing Trump's bidding.

The Twitter dust-up comes after Paul's wife Kelley Paul attacked the media last year for some of their reporting on Paul's injuries, which she called "hateful." MSNBC host Kasie Hunt, in particular, apologized after she declared the attack "one of my favorite stories."
