Brian Karem, a White House correspondent for Playboy and executive editor of the Sentinel Newspapers, will now be an on-air contributor for CNN.
Karem garnered national attention after a confrontational exchange with White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during a press briefing earlier this summer. He then spurred more conversation, and personal attention, when he sent a tweet on Aug. 24 claiming that he ran into a young Hispanic boy on the metro who coincidentally asked him why President Donald Trump hated him.
These two separate instances were enough to grab the attention of CNN, which, per a Twitter announcement, will welcome him in as a contributor after also having White House reporter April Ryan join their repertoire of liberal and left-leaning contributors, Mediaite reported Thursday night.
Happy to announce that in addition to covering the WH for Playboy and the Sentinel newspapers - I will now be an on-air contributor for CNN

The Playboy reporter is quite active on Twitter, and often shares his leftist thoughts and distaste for the Trump administration.

Mediaite noted that Karem will be joining a team at CNN that is already mixed with "the regular assortment of partisans, analysts, and various other talking heads on the network's super-sized panels."
