Pelosi: 'There Is Absolutely No Question' That Russia, Comey 'Influenced' Clinton's Loss

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said on Sunday "there is no question" that Russia and then-FBI Director James Comey were among the reasons why Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election last November.

"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace read Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D., N.Y.) quote to the Washington Post earlier this month, when he said Democrats should blame themselves, not other factors, for their 2016 election defeat to President Donald Trump.

"When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don't blame other things — Comey, Russia — you blame yourself," Schumer said. "So what did we do wrong? People didn't know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump. And still believe that."

Wallace asked Pelosi whether she agrees with Schumer "that Russia and Comey were not what beat Hillary Clinton."

"Well I think that they had an influence," Pelosi said. "There is absolutely no question about that, but when you have a campaign, you're responsible for your campaign. I don't even want to go into that."

Pelosi then pivoted by saying she wanted to go into her "Better Deal" and discuss Democrats' new economic platform.
