A local reporter was limited to a four minute interview with President Obama, during which she was required to stand up.
President Obama’s staffers informed the reporter that her interview with the President was not to exceed four minutes and that she had to conduct the interview standing up.
The reporter was told that interviewers were required to stand for the interview because the President has a tendency to become "very chatty" when doing sit down interviews. The standing requirement was put in place to ensure that the interview was limited to a brief four minutes. A staffer was said to be standing nearby with a countdown clock.
