New RNC Video Shows Democrats Calling on DNC to Return Harvey Weinstein Donations

A new video from the National Republican Committee features Democrats who have called on their own party to return donations from Harvey Weinstein while Democratic National Committee leaders dodge questions on the issue.

The video mentions how the DNC has not returned $300,000 in donations from the disgraced film producer who has recently come under fire following numerous allegations of sexual harassment and rape. However, some Congressional Democrats are calling for the DNC to return the money, including Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.), Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.) and Sen. Chris Murphy (D., Conn.).

Deputy party chairman Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) refused to answer if the DNC would return the money when asked last week from right outside the U.S. Capitol.

"I don't have any comments for you right now," Ellison said. "I don't know you and I don't take questions like this."

When party chairman Tom Perez was asked about returning the money as he walked with aides last Friday, he too refused to answer.

"You have a nice weekend, sir," Perez told the man who asked if the DNC would return Weinstein's donations.
