Iowa Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst released a biographical ad Wednesday, focused on her two decades of military service.
"I believe in service. In Iowans helping Iowans," Ernst says in the 30-second spot.
"During emergencies like floods, people don’t ask if you’re Republican or Democrat. They just need help. … Leading convoys into Baghdad, I focused on one thing: Complete our mission, and bring every one of my soldiers home. And that’s what we did."
A NBC News poll last month found Ernst and Democratic Rep. Bruce Braley tied at 43 percent.
