MSNBC host Joe Scarborough opened Friday's "Morning Joe" with commentary on President Donald Trump's interactions with the prime minister of Montenegro, Duško Marković, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The comments came while Scarborough played a clip of Trump on Thursday in Brussels before the NATO summit. Trump can be seen moving Marković to the side to walk in front of him.
The MSNBC host referred to Trump's interaction with Marković as "manhandling" and described the incident as "what some in Europe would call the ugly American."
"Look at this, manhandling the leader of Montenegro," Scarborough said. "That is what some in Europe would call 'the ugly American.'"
"And then he ripped off—poor, poor president of France, I mean he's a young guy, Macron. He tore his arm off," he continued.
"That's the Trump shake. He pulls you in, right? That's his move," MSNBC's Willie Geist added.
