MSNBC guest Rick Wilson falsely claimed that Fox News would not be covering the Robert Mueller hearings during a Monday appearance on the network.
"Now Fox isn't covering the hearings. We should also tell you how scared they are of what could happen on that morning," Wilson, a Republican political consultant, told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace.
"Really?" Wallace responded, unaware that her frequent guest Joyce Vance had already tweeted and deleted the same incorrect assertion.
"It's going to be a very interesting and consequential moment. They're apparently not going to take them live, everyone else is taking them live," Wilson added.
Fox News anchor Bret Baier responded to the accusation earlier on Monday when MSNBC contributor Vance made the same claim. "Actually I am anchoring our coverage with @marthamaccallum all day Wednesday. Sorry you missed the promos. Thanks," Baier tweeted.
Vance later claimed she was joking. Baier then tweeted out the press release from Fox News, adding, "For those who may have missed the on air promos.

According to the press release, "Special Report’s Bret Baier and The Story’s Martha MacCallum will co-anchor coverage live from Washington throughout both testimonies."
Wilson later corrected himself on Twitter, adding that "The MAGA Javerts were all aflutter," making a reference to the villain of Victor Hugo's Les Misérables.
I stand corrected: Fox apparently will cover the Mueller hearings.
