MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell was shocked on air Thursday when a picture of President Obama meeting with President-Elect Donald Trump was shown on her program.
Obama and Trump met at the White House two days after the 2016 presidential election concluded with the Republican nominee as the winner. As footage of the meeting came in, MSNBC aired a photograph of the two sitting in the Oval Office.
"That is the moment, Donald trump in the Oval Office with President Obama," Mitchell said.
She continued to report on the historic moment but let her emotions go and appeared shocked before ending her comments.
"But, good lord, that is an image a lot of people did not expect to see," Mitchell said.
Obama said his meeting with Trump was "excellent."
