Hillary Clinton’s campaign press corps let out a collective, giddy "oooh" on Tuesday after the Democratic nominee threw out a zinger against Donald Trump for his complaints about his debate podium’s microphone.
Clinton took a few minutes of questions on her campaign plane the morning after her first debate with Trump. Trump remarked afterwards that his microphone was "defective," and as Clinton walked away from reporters, one of them yelled a question out about his statement.
"Anybody who complains about the microphone is not having a good night," she said.
The press whooped like Clinton had gotten in a truly amazing burn. Someone who appeared to be CNN anchor Carol Costello laughed loudly and appreciatively as well before the feed went back to her in the studio.
"Oh my goodness, a little zinger there at the end, right?" Costello asked, smiling.
