Lee: 'A Tax Hike is Not Tax Reform'

Sen. Mike Lee (R., Utah) said tax hikes were not the same thing as tax reform Wednesday on CNBC's "The Kudlow Report."

"A tax hike is not tax reform," Lee said. "Tax reform is something we do when we're simplifying the tax code, when we're lowering rates, broadening the base. We're making a less volatile revenue stream. We've got 18.5% of GDP that we can generate through our income tax code regardless of how high you put the marginal rate."
