Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to headline a political fundraiser being hosted by two lobbyists later this month in an effort to raise money for New Hampshire Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan.

The event will take place at the Maine home of Jim Demers, a lobbyist and donor to President Barack Obama.

Demers donated $6,000 to Obama and New Hampshire Democrats during the last election cycle and was a co-chair of Obama’s 2008 New Hampshire presidential primary campaign.

While the fundraiser is being touted as a way for Biden to test the waters for 2016, Demers endorsed Hillary Clinton in an interview on MSNBC Sunday even though Clinton attacked Obama and Demers for lobbying for drug companies.

Lobbyist and Obama bundler Severin Beliveau is another host of the Hassan fundraiser.

Beliveau helped raise between $50,000 and $100,000 for Obama during the 2008 election cycle.

Beliveau has been described as "Darth Vader" and is considered Maine’s most influential lobbyist.

Emmett Beliveau, Severin’s son, currently works as an aide for President Obama.
