Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday she does not recall joking about launching a drone strike against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Clinton allegedly made the remark during a meeting while serving as secretary of state, asking aides, "Can’t we just drone this guy?" in reference to Assange, True Pundit reported Sunday, citing anonymous State Department sources.

WikiLeaks tweeted a quote from the True Pundit piece on Monday morning. Numerous media outlets have questioned the authenticity of the claim.

"I don’t recall any joke," Clinton told reports of the allegations during a press conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. "It would have been a joke, if it had been said, but I don’t recall that."

When asked whether she was worried if WikiLeaks could post anything that would "upend" the presidential race, Clinton responded, "I don’t know anything about what he’s talking about," again referring to Assange.

Assange announced Tuesday that he planned to release more documents regarding the election over the next ten weeks.

WikiLeaks made waves in July after posting more than 19,000 emails from top officials in the Democratic National Committee. Those messages ultimately forced the resignation of chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
