The State of the Union is always filled with an optimistic view of what the president wants to get done in the coming year. One of the things that is supposed to happen afterwards is relationship-building with Congress.
When Hillary Clinton was how she would work with Congress differently, she failed to give a response.
"Well, this is just a hypothetical question," Clinton said.
She continued to answer the question by praising the work that Obama has done so far. She also briefly mentioned her concerns with Obama’s free community college idea and options that she would present.
John Podesta, former senior counsel to President Obama and now senior aide to Hillary Clinton, mentioned to Chris Matthews that Hillary Clinton is "going to stay very close with Obama," and that it is going to be a "team effort."
No mention about working with Congress.
