Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign is selling tickets to a SoulCycle class hosted by daughter Chelsea Clinton that will cost supporters at least $500 each to attend.
Politico reported that the Clintons’ daughter will host the fundraiser at the SoulCycle studio in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City on Jan. 27. A limited number of tickets are available for $500 and $1,000, but only those who contribute the maximum $2,700 will be able to ride a "premium reserve bike" and pose for a photo with Chelsea Clinton.
Those who raise $5,000 for the event will also have the opportunity to attend a later Hillary Clinton fundraiser.
SoulCycle classes generally cost $34 per person, meaning that Clinton’s fundraiser class will cost between 14 and 80 times the price of a normal workout at the studio. SoulCycle classes last 45 minutes and are popular among celebrities.
Chelsea Clinton, a fan of SoulCycle, previously hosted a fundraiser class for the Clinton Foundation’s Clinton Haiti Relief Fund at the same studio in 2010. The workout later this month will be led by Laurie Cole, a celebrity SoulCycle instructor who is also friends with Clinton’s daughter. One of the founders of SoulCycle, Elizabeth Cutler, has contributed thousands of dollars to Democrats, according to FEC records.
Chelsea is reportedly expected to participate in the ride.
