Fox News Channel announced Wednesday that it has hired Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, as a "national security strategist," according to two representatives for the network.
Gorka, who left the administration earlier this year, did an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on his daily radio program, where he announced Gorka's new role at the network, Politico reported.

"Welcome to the Fox family," Hannity told the former White House adviser on his radio show. "You're a true patriot hero and an amazing, amazing political analyst and strategic analyst. Thank you for being with us and we're so happy for your success."
"You've been a great supporter, not only of myself, but of the administration and the president, and it's great to be back as part of the superb Fox family," Gorka replied.
Politico noted that Gorka was closely aligned with former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and he left his position in the administration in August after Bannon was ousted. Shortly after leaving the West Wing, Gorka announced that he would be reuniting with Bannon at Breitbart.
