Ernst Increases Momentum With Inspiring New Ad

Joni Ernst is gaining momentum in Iowa and displaying her support in a new campaign ad.

The three-minute ad features snapshots of Ernst’s values, including her commitment to the Iowa agriculture community and working families.

"There are so many reasons I’m doing this," Ernst says. "I feel that our country is at a critical juncture, and I don’t like the direction that we’re headed."

Ernst, who made headlines after releasing her hog castrating ad early in the campaign, has since garnered a wave of support--including 45 percent of Iowa’s likely voters.

The inspirational ad thanks Ernst’s devoted supporters and underscores returning Iowa’s Senate seat to the people.

"It’s been 30 years since we’ve had an open seat in the U.S. Senate," Ernst says. "I am going to be that partner for Sen. Chuck Grassley."

Ernst’s Democratic opponent, Rep. Bruce Braley, was endorsed by Sen. Tom Harkin, who currently holds the coveted seat. The most recent poll show Braley trails Ernst by nine points.
