Ed Henry: Bottom Line of WikiLeaks Emails Is ‘You’re Seeing Two Different Hillary Clintons’

October 18, 2016

Fox News’ Ed Henry said Tuesday that the latest batch of hacked emails released by WikiLeaks shows "two different Hillary Clintons" while reporting on new revelations from the 11th installment of the ongoing document dump released that morning.

Henry reported on one newly released email from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta’s hacked account in which he and other top Clinton aides advised her to stir up outrage towards House Republicans for targeting her role in the 2012 Benghazi attack. Podesta told Clinton to chastise the Republicans for attempting to gain political points over the death of the four Americans killed in Benghazi.

Another email that Henry discussed involved the Clinton campaign’s debate over whether she should call herself a strong ally of Israel in the beginning of her presidential bid. Henry reported that "several aides said that would upset the left and Democratic activists if you look too strong for Israel."

"The bottom line question," Henry continued, "is you’re seeing two different Hillary Clintons here."

Henry noted that this has become a theme as more emails are released daily. He referenced her friendly speeches to Goldman Sachs, the transcripts of which were released in the hacks, while taking a tougher tone against Wall Street on the campaign trail.

"When she was talking to Goldman Sachs for hundreds of thousands of dollars for a speech, she was saying you need a public and private position for things like trade. She also sort of downplayed her support for Wall Street, saying we had to do Dodd-Frank for political reasons," Henry said.

Regarding the final presidential debate Wednesday night, Henry wondered whether Donald Trump would highlight this public versus private persona of Clinton that Henry said appears in the leaked emails.

Henry also discussed how leaked emails revealed that Bill Clinton accepted a $1 million check from Qatar on his birthday for the Clinton Foundation. Yet other emails in the WikiLeaks dump show Hillary Clinton saying that Qatar is helping fund ISIS, Henry added.
