Congressman Jared Polis (D., Colo.) flubbed the word "election" during a stump speech for embattled Sen. Mark Udall (D., Colo.) on Thursday.
"More than just electing Mark Udall--a fine man that I've known for much of my life--to the United States Senate," Polis said. "More than that, control of the United States Senate is what's at stake here in this Colorado erection--Colorado election."
Polis quickly corrected himself, but the determined tone of his speech was compromised.
Udall trails Republican challenger Cory Gardner by four points.
