Debbie Wasserman Schultz Won't Answer Jesse Watters' Question

July 20, 2016

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla) actively dodged Fox News personality Jesse Watters while he tried to ask a question Wednesday.

Schultz ignored Watters to the point that her "handler" had to step in for her.

The O'Reilly Factor host Bill O'Reilly pointed this out.

"Debbie Wasserman Schultz, congresswoman from Florida, she just bolted, right?" he asked.

Watters said that she did.

"She was terrified," he said. "She went to have lunch and her handler came over and said, ‘Aren't you going to let us eat lunch?’ I don't want to eat with you. I just want to ask a question."

The video then showed Watters following Wasserman Schultz and her handler down the street. She did not bother to acknowledge Watters, despite trying to ask her a question.

O'Reilly said that he had to be more diplomatic.

"Like you, Bill," Watters said. "I should be more diplomatic."

"I am a little bit more diplomatic," O'Reilly replied. "But, you know, when she runs away it doesn't make her look good."

Watters agreed.

"Don't give her an excuse to run away," he continued.

Watters suggested that maybe next time he would block her.

O'Reilly said to tell her that he was a "big, big fan."

Watters laughed.

"So, you want me to use subterfuge," he joked.

"Oh, word of the day!" O'Reilly said.
