Liberal comedienne Chelsea Handler on Friday called on U.S. generals to remove President Donald Trump from office.
The host of Netflix's "Chelsea" argued on Twitter that the generals would be doing themselves a favor by salvaging their historical reputation.
"To all the generals surrounding our idiot-in-chief...the longer U wait ro remove him, the longer UR name will appear negatively in history [sic]," she wrote.

A day earlier, Handler tweeted an obscenity (and a typo) at Vice President Mike Pence over an innocuous year-old tweet of himself at a barbershop.

Handler is hardly the first anti-Trump commedienne to fantasize about a military coup. Sarah Silverman tweeted in February that Trump would be gone "once the military is [with] us."
