Bill Clinton refused to answer a question about the differences between "Clinton Democrats" and "Obama Democrats" after speaking at a rally for Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in Louisville, Ky. on Thursday.
WHAS-ABC reporter Joe Arnold asked the former president the key question but Slick Willie, skilled politician as he is, said he didn't want to get into "all that politics."
"It's about people, it's about what kind of future Kentucky wants," Clinton said. "You gotta start voting for the people that'll help you and not be distracted."
For Grimes, who has continually distanced herself from President Obama and called herself a "Clinton Democrat through and through," the question of what the difference between an 'Obama' or 'Clinton' Democrat seems exceedingly relevant in the Kentucky Senate race. But Bill Clinton is too busy focusing on people over politics to answer such a question.
