Barber: Hypocritical for De Blasio to Endorse Cuomo’s Comments on Conservatives

The Washington Free Beacon’s Ellison Barber called out New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio for endorsing Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) recent remarks on conservatives, calling both politicians "hypocritical" and "ideologically inconsistent".

"I think it is interesting that mayor De Blasio came out and endorsed [Cuomo’s remarks]. He ran his entire campaign on eliminating a tale of two cities and creating an equal city," Barber said Friday on Fox News’ "Hannity".

"For both of them to take this position where you’re encouraging, on some level, this…divisive political narrative where you’re pitting people against each other is ideologically inconsistent and hypocritical," Barber charged.

Cuomo recently said in an interview that "extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault—weapon, anti-gay…have no place in the State of New York". De Blasio defended Cuomo's remarks shortly afterward.
