Secretary of State Rex Tillerson confirmed America's commitment to international organizations on Wednesday while testifying on Capitol Hill.
Tillerson was discussing the proposed budget for the State Department when Rep. Gregory Meeks (D., N.Y.) asked Tillerson about America's commitment under the Trump administration to various international organizations.
"So do we support the EU [European Union]?" Meeks asked.
"I think we've been quite clear that we do," Tillerson said.
"NATO?" Meeks asked.
"Without a doubt," Tillerson replied.
"OAS [Organization of American States]?" Meeks said.
"Certainly," Tillerson said.
"WTO [World Trade Organization]?" Meeks asked.
"Yes, but the WTO needs some reform," Tillerson answered.
"The [United Nations?" Meeks asked.
"Yes, the U.N. needs a lot of reform," Tillerson said.
"The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation?" Meeks asked.
"Yes," Tillerson replied.
Tillerson said the United States is engaged with all the organizations mentioned. The secretary went on to say that the U.S. is not the only country supporting reform in certain organizations.
