Rep. Bachmann Reads From WFB Article On Obamacare Being Vulnerable To Cyber Attack

Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R., Minn.) read from an article by the Washington Free Beacon’s Bill Gertz during an open House Intelligence Committee hearing Tuesday, warning U.S. intelligence leaders that Americans’ personal information was vulnerable to cyber attacks.

Gertz reported Monday that some developers of Obamacare’s online health care network were linked to the Belarusian government, a former Soviet Republic and close ally of Russia. Intelligence officials suspected the developers of inserting malicious code that could be used for cyber attacks, and urged the Obama administration to check the network for that malicious software.

Bachmann asked the panel testifying before the committee whether they had any knowledge of the report and its warnings, with none of those testifying claiming they had. The panel included Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan, and FBI Director James Comey.
