Columnist Charles Krauthammer quipped Joe Biden's remarks about Detroit Friday were a "classic answer" for the vice president on Special Report, drawing laughter from the other panelists.
Biden responded to a question earlier Friday about what the Obama administration could do to help Detroit after the city filed for bankruptcy protection with a fumbling answer:
BIDEN: Can we help Detroit? We are now going through exactly in detail what -- We had a meeting yesterday, just getting a brief on the status. The question is, um, we don't know at this point.
"That was a classic answer that Biden gave," Krauthammer said after the clip played. "He said essentially, 'We have no idea,' but it took him a paragraph."
