Secretary of State John Kerry appeared to tell Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari he had to leave their scheduled Political and Diplomatic Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting early Thursday morning.

The JCC meeting, intended to strengthen diplomatic coordination among the two nations, comes amid a deadly Baghdad car bombing in the city's "Green Zone."

The attack, killing 34 and wounding more than 100, has pushed the monthly death toll in Iraq to the highest level in five years.
