Daily Beast reporter Josh Rogin joined CNN’s The Lead Thursday to discuss recent comments by Iranian chief nuclear negotiator, Abbas Araghchi. Araghchi told Iranian television that Iran could resume enriching uranium to 20% -- the level banned under the new nuclear agreement – within one day if it chose to do so.
Rogin said Araghchi’s comments would "make it very difficult for the White House to sell this deal as a good deal to Democrats who they hope to keep in line."
"Without more details that will contradict what very well could be exaggerated claims from the Iranians, Democrats are going to have a hard time defending their staying with the administration on this issue," Rogin said.
