Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich will soon be looking out from behind prison bars at Chicago residents.
A local news radio station, FM 101.1 will begin an advertising campaign on the sides of Chicago Transit Authority buses, depicting Blagojevich in prison with the slogan, "He's not listening."
Variations on the ad are currently on Chicago billboards.
The bus ads, however, were at first rejected by the Chicago Transit Authority's legal department, because they violated advertising guidelines stipulating "you can’t run ads that present criminal acts as being amusing or entertaining," according to the Chicago Sun Times. But after the paper inquired about the ads, the ruling was overturned.
Blagojevich began a 14-year corruption sentence in federal prison in March.
