BDS Dealt Major Blow by Academic Group

AP

The American Historical Association (AHA) overwhelmingly voted Sunday to reject an anti-Israel boycott resolution that would have dragged the group into the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) battle.

The rejection by the AHA of two measures targeting Israel is being viewed as a major defeat for the anti-Israel BDS crowd, which has sought to infiltrate a range of leading campus academic groups in the past year.

A motion to skirt the AHA's procedural rules and consider the anti-Israel resolutions was handily defeated, with just 55 activists voting in favor and 144 against, according to Commentary.
