Following former president Donald Trump's loss in the 2020 election, CNN's hosts railed against outlets that platformed him and other "election-deniers," saying they had "fear of isolating Donald Trump."
As the network faces declining ratings, CNN appears to have had a change of mind, announcing last week it will host a town hall with Trump on Wednesday. The former president’s team said "CNN executives made a compelling pitch" and that the broadcast can "jumpstart" the relationship Trump used to have with CNN.
