The Israel Defense Forces on Friday said it recovered from Rafah the bodies of three Israeli hostages who were killed following Hamas’s Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

The Israeli military recovered the bodies of 22-year-old Shani Louk, 28-year-old Amit Buskila, and 56-year-old Itzhak Gelerenter during a recent operation in the southern Gazan city, IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a press statement on Friday.

Hamas terrorists kidnapped the three Israelis from the Nova Music festival on Oct. 7 and killed them, according to a Friday post by Israel’s official X account.

About 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered and hundreds more were abducted by Hamas in its surprise invasion of Israel on Oct. 7.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet have vowed to order the IDF to enter Rafah, the last major Hamas stronghold in Gaza, despite repeated objections by President Joe Biden.
