Two Children In Texas Are Unable To Get Insurance Due To Obamacare

February 6, 2014

A Texas family with six sons is growing weary of Obamacare after two of their sons were denied coverage.

Mother Diane Nichols has six adopted sons, four of which receive health insurance through the state’s foster care insurance subsidies.

Nichols attempted to purchase coverage for her other two sons through the Obamacare website, but her application was denied because her children qualify for coverage under the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), but she says they were denied yet again.

"I applied for CHIPS. I thought it was going to be no big deal. It doesn’t make sense. I can’t get it with the state because I’m only considered a family of four," Nichols explained.

She has since called State and U.S. Representatives in hopes of finding a way to insure her two other sons.
