Rick Perry: I Don't Know Whether Obama Heard What I Said

Perry: 'You have to act, Mr. President. That's what leadership is.'

Gov. Rick Perry (R., Tex.) told Sean Hannity about his meeting with President Obama to discuss the border crisis, saying, "The fact is, I don't know whether he heard what I said."

"A leader acts," Perry observed. "And what I haven't seen out of this president are actions that make me think he understands what's going on. It's one of the reasons I want him to come to the border. Because I think he really needs to see how the interaction with these different law enforcements and the addition of the National Guard could secure that border. I think if the president would see that with his own eyes, and he would act on it, you can't talk about it.
