Perry: On the Border, Obama Has Chance To Be A Leader Instead of Blaming Others

Gov. Rick Perry (R., Tex.) continued his calls for President Obama to take action at the border on Fox News Sunday, saying, "Here's his opportunity to truly lead. Don't blame this on anyone. Be a leader, lay out a plan."

Perry criticized Obama's emergency funding request, arguing that "It is a very large amount of money. As you analyze it, very little of it is for border security."

Perry urged Obama to "pick up the phone today" and send National Guard troops to the border, and to become "realistic" about the problem.

"We've got a track record now of five-plus years of him disregarding what's going on on the border," Perry said.
